Same problem for me, I could reproduce switching from tty7 to tty1.

I first launched terra in a terminal, to have an output :

ubuntu@ubuntu ~ $ terra
Xlib.protocol.request.QueryExtension
Exception in thread Thread-1:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/threading.py", line 552, in __bootstrap_inner
    self.run()
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/terra/globalkeybinding.py", line 99,
in run
    self.current_event_time = event.time
  File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.7/Xlib/protocol/rq.py", line 1369, in
__getattr__
    raise AttributeError(attr)
AttributeError: time

Complété

You perhaps don't need to restart X, a "killall terra" in tty1 worked
great for me !
