I manually removed the postgres-xc folder from usr/share. Then I
attempted both...

$ sudo dpkg --purge postges-xc

followed by
$ sudo apt-get remove postgres-xc

then repeated the first command.
All returned the same error: "invoke-rc.d: initscript postgres-xc, action
"stop" failed."

The postgres-xc folder is still absent. Entering "$ sudo initdb -D
/usr/local/pgsql/data" continues to return the "initdb: Postgres-XC node
name is mandatory" error.

As far as I can get, Postgresql is still unusable for me.
