Hi, I also meet with issues with gfxboot-examples. While trying to use the gftxtest command line, it fails where ever I am located in the console:
************************************************ $ pwd /usr/share/gfxboot $ gfxtest -t /usr/share/gfxboot/themes/example_03 error: gfxtest must be run from /usr/share/gfxboot ************************************************ I also tried as root and met with the same error message. I tried several example themes. I have tried making a new bootlogo, using a 800x600 jpg image, which weights 16 Kio only. I followed the instructions provided in the example_07.bc file: ************************************************ % To use this example to boot from a real CD-ROM, do: % % # make -C themes/example_07 % # mkdir /tmp/foo % # gfxboot -a themes/example_07/bootlogo --expand-archive /tmp/foo % # cp /tmp/foo/* to_the_dir_on_your_ISO_where_isolinux.bin_is % % and add a line 'ui gfxboot bootlogo' to isolinux.cfg. ************************************************ When using it in an iso being built, to replace the one installed into the isolinux directory, (using Ubuntu Builder to create a custom iso), the next iso created fails to display any start, and does not boot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1077339 Title: gfxboot examples fail to run To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gfxboot-examples/+bug/1077339/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
