After I installed 3.8.1 the systems seems to be much more stable. I worked two
days without any freeze. But today I got another freeze :-(
I worked today with an external monitor connected to HDMI when the freeze
occures.
This time the screen was not corrupted - just frozen. Also the system did not
shutdown like before with the 3.5.0-25. kernel version.
But again I was unable to connect via ssh because the system has no more
network connection. So I was unable to collect the missing file
/sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state.
To get this file after a freeze and a hard reset, I have now added a script
into the /etc/rcS.d directory to copy the file into my home directory during
boot time. Please let me know if this makes sense and how I can collect other
missing information.

I have also installed the new 3.8.2 kernel version today.
Lets see what happens....
