Hello,  SpiderOak dev here. We're aware of the changes coming up in
13.04 with regards to tray icons and AppIndicator support, and believe
this is related.

Currently, we have some hacks to try and make sure we sit in the system
tray. We're considering using https://launchpad.net/sni-qt to replace
these hacks and do it correctly. I'm trying to get this into our
upcoming 4.9 release, as it appears right now that our Ubuntu users will
all hit this crash upon upgrade to 13.04. Is sni-qt OK, or do you
recommend we do something else to tie our Qt app into Unity without
crashing?
