Hello, SpiderOak dev here. We're aware of the changes coming up in 13.04 with regards to tray icons and AppIndicator support, and believe this is related.
Currently, we have some hacks to try and make sure we sit in the system tray. We're considering using https://launchpad.net/sni-qt to replace these hacks and do it correctly. I'm trying to get this into our upcoming 4.9 release, as it appears right now that our Ubuntu users will all hit this crash upon upgrade to 13.04. Is sni-qt OK, or do you recommend we do something else to tie our Qt app into Unity without crashing? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1140060 Title: SpiderOak crashes: Settings schema 'com.canonical.Unity.Panel' is not installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1140060/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
