Last week I updated ubuntu packages and after that the system was unable
to see any network devices (wlan, eth) and failed to detect my external
monitor and USB devices. My notebook is Lenovo B580.
I resolved this issue by downgrading the kernel from linux-
image-3.5.0-25-generic to linux-image-3.5.0-21-generic.
