Looks as if vpnc-scripts already includes these changes; both in the
file /etc/vpnc/vpnc-script included in vpnc and in the similar file
shipped by vpnc-scripts... which is recommended by vpnc.
Closing as Invalid -- this was fixed at some point since Maverick, not
exactly sure when, but vpnc certainly has been working at least since
Precise without the need for such changes.
