I would try but i've just broken my system. added trim command in bootup and disabled writing reports to make my SSD last longer however I now have no desktop, blank screen. I've undone these changes but ctrl-alt-f7 (still with random curruptions but no desktop). seen another post somewhere which'll give me the command to start the desktop.. I'll try this then try apport-collect, it does "feel" like graphics...
