I'm sorry, but those are bugs  in the USB-writing programs in question,
not in the Ubuntu images.

The correct way to write an Ubuntu 12.04 ISO image to a USB stick is to
do so WITHOUT MODIFICATION.  These USB-image-creating tools which are
modifying the image when writing it are buggy and need to be fixed to
not make such modifications.  However, we do not maintain these tools;
please ask the tool authors directly to correct these problems.
