Been searching for how to resolve this issue (I run CentOS 6.3 and have experienced this) and could'nt find a resolution. This might be a bit late late for most people might be worth a go. I have added the following line to /etc/rc.d/rc.local file (so it get s run at boot time)
echo -1 >/sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend The laptop (so far) not locked up when on battery, I had to do the same for a HP nN40L microserver and thought I'd give it a go on the laptop as well to see if it helps - so far it's been good for me -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/998379 Title: Kernel freeze when on battery - Compaq nc6400 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/998379/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
