6 sudo vim /etc/X11/xorg.conf and you will find this:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel Corporation 82Q963/Q965 Integrated Graphics
Controller"
Driver "intel" # "i810" or "intel"
BusID "PCI:0:2:0"
VideoRam 256000
Option "UseFBDev" "true"
EndSection
7 change the Driver to either intel or i810 (as long as you switch!)
8 save and exit (by typing ZZ)
9 than kill gdm : sudo killall gdm
10 startup gdm: sudo gdm &
Now you can log in again graphically and get back to your desktop. If
you switch again you end up in a blank screen again and you have to
repeat this again but change to the other driver.
