Are the versions for the dependencies strict? Does emacs22 really require libasound > 1.0.14, and can't work with 1.0.13? The reason I ask is because I, like most people, am running feisty and ideally would like emacs22 to appear in feisty-backports (If emacs isn't a candidate for backports what is?). But barring that would just like to install it with as little package dependencies from gutsy as possible.
I am understandably hesitant to upgrade libc in particular. -- Please include Emacs22 in Ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119795 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
