I was seeing similar issues with brcmsmac driver on my HP Slate 500 with 3.5.0-25-generic kernel. I was seeing lots of messages like - "ieee80211 phy0: brcms_ops_config: Error setting power_level", and "ieee80211 phy0: brcms_c_prec_enq_head: No where to go, prec == 4". My network connection was slow and system would freeze for a couple of second from time to time. All these problems were resolved with the attached upstream patch. After building a 3.5.0-25-generic kernel patched with this patch, I am no longer seeing these error message or any slowdowns.
