Thanks, I am able to reproduce this now with your provided script and with the set of packages you have listed.
I am also assuming you have the default Ubuntu configuration for ATLAS, BLAS, and LAPACK. Can you confirm that the crash no longer occurs if you run the following command: $ sudo update-alternatives --set liblapack.so.3 /usr/lib/atlas- base/atlas/liblapack.so.3 Does your example script run successfully? Do you see the "ABNORMAL RETURN FROM DQAGI" messages? Does the result from fsolve look like you expect? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1156575 Title: octave crashed with SIGABRT in __libc_message() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/octave/+bug/1156575/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
