Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gparted

During the Live CD installation, gutsy hangs indefinitely on resizing
the partitions.

Steps to reproduce:
0: Boot live CD and choose 'Start or Install Ubuntu'.
1: Double-click the 'install' icon on the live desktop.
2: On the page mentioning the partitions choose 'manually edit'.
3: Resize an existing 'ext3' partition and continue.

My laptop currently has Feisty amd64 installed as follows
/dev/hda1 ext3 (feisty64) 58500MB*
/dev/hda2 swap 1580MB

And during partition im trying to change it so i can add gutsy
/dev/hda1 ext3 (feisty64, mounted /media/hda1) 29250MB
/dev/hda2 swap 1580MB
/dev/hda3 ext3 (gutsy, mounted /) 29250MB

*It's when I resize /dev/hda1 (feisty) 58500MB to /dev/hda1 (feisty)
29250MB that it hangs.

** Affects: gparted (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
