Potential workaround: For those simply trying to mount a Mac OS X AFP share from Ubuntu 12.04, gvfs-mount seems to do the trick. I'm not sure why googling for "mount afp from ubuntu" didn't seem to turn it up.
>gvfs-mount afp://username@server/share_name/ Enter password for afp as username on server Password: >ls -la ~/.gvfs total 4 dr-x------ 3 local_username local_group 0 Mar 19 09:11 . drwxr-xr-x 43 local_username local_group 4096 Mar 19 11:43 .. drwx------ 1 local_username local_group 0 Mar 19 12:35 AFP volume share_name for username on server > I can't quickly find a way to change this mount point, but you can always link that directory elsewhere. This is what the nautilus GUI file browser uses when you mount AFP drives from the "Browse Network" tab. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/962718 Title: mount_afp fails with "Could not connect, never got a response to getstatus, Connection timed out" error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/afpfs-ng/+bug/962718/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
