Public bug reported: I have Ubuntu 13.04 Beta installed as a guest VM in VirtualBox 4.2.10 on a Mint13 host. Ubuntu functions nicely as long as it is open. If I power down and restart the vm it also works nicely. However, if I suspend the guest session and later try to restart it, the session opens, but is totally useless. You can try to open something and the throbber will show up briefly, but nothing happens. The terminal is unusable. If I power the vm down and then back up again, it returns to full operability. I did install the guest additions to this guest.
My machine: i7 [email protected], 6G ram, (2) internal 80G SATA hds, (1) internal 80G IDE HD, (1) internal 500G SATA and (1) internal 250G SATA. The mobo is a P6T Deluxe V2. Also external to the tower is a 250G SATA drive connected via Firewire. I'm assuming that a conflict probably exists in the guest additions in this version VB, so I'll just live with this and continue to evaluate Ubuntu 13.04 Beta 1 without the suspend feature. BTW, I update, clean and upgrade several times a day during my evaluation.
