Public bug reported:

Since I upgraded to Feisty, my HDD is not auto-detected any longer on my
main machine, and I have to unload ehci_hcd to make it detected (sudo
moprobe -r ehci_hcd).

I do not have this problem on my laptop, but there it is the only USB
device plugged in. On the machine with the issue, there are other USB
devices (printer...) which are recognized.

Of course with ehci_hcd unloaded, I do not have the benefit of USB 2.0
any more.

RAM : 1024 MB
CPU : Athlon XP 2500+ "Barton"
Motherboard : Asus A7N8X-X
kernel : 2.6.20-16-generic

It looks like other bugs, but I appears to me as a bit different,
especially because it occurs with Feisty. I have seen something more
like-looking a few months ago, but I didn't find it again this time.

I'm not a veteran, so make detailed requests so that I can give you
more informations. Thanks !
