Public bug reported:
I'm a total newbie, sorry.
I installed Ubuntu 7.04, Feisty Fawn, a while ago. It's been working
perfectly until a few days ago when the system tray stopped showing
running programs as icons (Gaim, Azureus, Amarok, etc.) The "standard"
ones, Firefox, Mail and help, are still there, further to the left.
I can still run all programs without problems, but when I close them
(without exiting the program), I can't access them even though they are
still running.
I'm not sure exactly when the problem started, it might have been when I
accidentally changed the panel background to an image. I've changed back
since then, and still have the problem. I've tried messing around with
the panel properties, without success. Changing themes (including the
original "Human" theme), makes no difference. I've also installed Wine,
if that could be a problem?
I've seen similar bugs (if it is a bug, and not just me being
clueless...) reported, but none with ALL of the icons disappearing.
