*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 346386 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/346386
I followed the instructions for bug #346386.
But it did not solve the problem.
I can remove the files from /var/lib/apt/lists/* , not the partial folder.
Then when I get update through the terminal, there seems to be no problem. So
far so good.
But when I run the update-manager outside of the terminal it sais that
there are 328 selected updates. Describing a change of version from 2.7.
102-0ubuntu3.4 to 2.7. 102-0ubuntu3.7.
When trying to install updates I get the following error:
"The package system is broken
Check if you are using third party repositories. If so disable them, since they
are a common source of problems.
Furthermore run the following command in a Terminal: apt-get install -f
Details: The following packages have unmet dependencies: adobereader-enu:i386: "
The apt-get install -f seems to have solved the dependency problems and now it
is installing correctly.
So... problem solved. Seemed to be related to the version update, but I am not
sure.
Hope the info helps.
