I am unable to go to test the newest kernel as I need this machine in use for school work. I am attaching a video that shows the issue.
Two months ago I re-installed Ubutnu 12.10, before when I started the bug report I had been using a 12.10 that had been upgraded over time from 10.04 so I thought maybe a fresh install would fix it, but it did not. I am still having the issue. Maybe it is a usb issue? I see that when I plug something into my USB3 port and remove it the disk manager will still say that the device is there, so I plug it back in for a moment -- till it goes away in the disk manager then unplug it. In the video I was playing minecraft and the mouse died, I read on my phone something about how locking the screen then plugging the device back in again might fix it. It did not my computer was stuck at the lock screen and when I tried to plug in a spare wired usb mouse the light would flash for a moment and go away. Side note when ever my mouse dies the extra keys on my keyboard stop working as well, so a-z,0-9,ctrl,alt,etc work but the keys like volume up/down/mute, and any and all fn keys do not work. ** Attachment added: "issue.mkv" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1089512/+attachment/3589609/+files/issue.mkv -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1089512 Title: USB devices stop working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1089512/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
