@Rafal - yes, the problem has been fixed in Ubuntu. Are you sure you are
specifying the "--no-log" option correctly (two leading dashes)?  The
problem that was fixed relates directly to logging and that option
disables logging entirely.

If you still have a problem, please do the following:

1) modify the boot command line in grub to add "--no-log --debug" but also 
remove "quiet" and "splash".
2) boot
3) take a picture of the messages on the screen and attach to this bug if 
possible.
