Public bug reported:
When use grub2 to loopback boot the precise-alternate-i386.iso in a
flash usb disk, the boot is OK, but can't install, because It can't find
the cdrom.
menuentry "Ubuntu 12.04.1 Alternate i386" {
iso="/boot/ubuntu-12.04.1-alternate-i386.iso"
loopback loop $iso
linux (loop)/install/vmlinuz boot=casper persistent iso-scan/filename=$iso
noeject noprompt --
initrd (loop)/install/initrd.gz
}
And the server iso is the same problem.
But, the desktop iso is OK.
You should fix this bug, CDROM is outdated and inconvenient.
