Thank you for your report. Since lm-sensors can only manipulate pwm controls exposed by the kernel, failing to find pwm sensors isn't a bug in lm-sensors directly, so I'm marking this bug as Invalid against the lm-sensors package.
If your computer is overheating on a default installation, or if you believe that you have pwm controls that should appear to lm-sensors and does not, then you should start with our community support channels: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community. Make sure to report your exact hardware specification so that others can help you. ** Changed in: lm-sensors (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1160081 Title: Cooling fan is always turned off, causing overheating To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lm-sensors/+bug/1160081/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
