Public bug reported:
On a Compal HEL80 Notebook running Feisty Fawn, after booting up without
any connections to my ethernet interface, Ubuntu's NetworkManager Applet
will not recognize any hotplugged connections.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Shut down computer
2) Disconnect ethernet cable
3) Boot into Ubuntu
4) Connect ethernet cable
** Affects: Ubuntu
