I experienced the same bug, when /etc/network/interfaces was configured for dynamic ip. After I configured /etc/network/interfaces to static ipv4 address, the problem was resolved.
So it seems that Samba binds only to local address, before the dhcp client received a address from the dhcp server. Maybe there is a upstart event that fires when the network is available? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/649189 Title: Samba fails to bind IPv6 on boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/649189/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
