I am seeing essentially the exact same problem, but far more frequently, and I was also using Comcast's DNS. I tried changing the Network Manager Settings to "Automatic (DHCP) addresses only," and using Google's DNS servers, but this did not resolve the issue. Commenting out "dns=dnsmasq" does seem to have resolved the issue.
