This doesn't appear to be a kernel bug, so it should be assigned to
another package. The latest kernel version is: 3.8.0-16.26
Is a kernel with the version 3.8.0.16.31 getting installed with the
software updater/apt-get? Or are you only seeing that version in
Launchpad?
