Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx

Hi! I had Ubuntu 6.06 LTS installed with NVidia 3D acceleration working fine
with nvidia-glx driver. Then I've decided to install the 7.04 Feisty Fawn, so,
I formatted my partition and install it.
After this, I installed again the nvidia-glx driver, exactly the same way that
I did with 6.06 LTS version, but didn't work properly. X server loads the
driver, however, in the Gnome, many "redraw" problems occurs, mostly when the
applications contains scrollable areas, like in text processors, for example.
I've try to download the proper driver at NVidia's website, but the situation
getting worse... the x server hangs on startup and shows a message that the
nvidia module cannot be loaded.

This is my configuration (pretty old, ok?):
Athlon XP 2400+
Motherboard ASUS A7N266-VM (chipset nForce2 with audio, video and network
integrated)
1 Gb RAM DDR
HD 40 Gb IDE

** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
