on a laptop that is not plugged in to the power: Run the Installer When you get to the "Preparing to Install..." screen it says, "For best results, please ensure that this computer: [x] Is plugged in to a power source click [Continue] Result: partman hangs see related bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1080701 Expected: These are reccommendations not requirements.... my laptop battery is good for at least 3 hours, which is more than enough time for an install.
