Public bug reported: Don't know if it's a bug, but certainly the transitions from earlier versions of firefox on ubuntu 10.04 were smooth. I brutally downgraded firefox to version 19 on ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) by uninstalling firefox via synaptic and directly installing packages from http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/f/firefox/: firefox_19.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1_i386.deb firefox-locale-de_19.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1_i386.deb firefox-locale-en_19.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1_i386.deb plus the one for gnome support firefox-gnome-support_19.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1_i386.deb firefox-gnome-support_19.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1_i386.deb and it worked.
