Public bug reported:

I have been experimenting with youtube videos on html5 technology and
the same using flash player. I have noticed that html5 videos tend to be
heavy on my processor with CPU usage shooting upto 70% on html5. With
flash, however, the usage by fiefox + plugin-container isnt as much.

Also another conclusive proof of more usage is that my computer
(slightly old) heats up much more in a html5 video compared to a flash
video.

This bug is similar to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/871412 , but
different in the fact that I observe poor performance only in html5
videos.

(Is this issue perhaps because firefox fails to utilize my GPU, a nVidia
105M running nouveau driver, while flash does use it? Any how I can
debug this and add to the report here?)

Thanks
