Binary package hint: kubuntu-desktop
Wireless Assistant 0.5.5, running on Ubuntu Dapper Drake with kubuntu-
desktop installed.
When run under Gnome it doesn't have the permissions to run dhcpclient.
Syslog:

Permission denied
Wireless Assistant just reports connection failed.
