I use Ubuntu Quantal.
I noticed that pidgin still won't accept a valid cert issued by CA Cert
(jabber.ccc.de).
Reproduce:
* don't have java-6-openjdk-jre-headless installed
* reinstall ca-certificates
Effect:
* it will complain about missing file /etc/java-6-openjdk/security/nss.cfg
* installation fails
* pidgin won't connect to jabber.ccc.de
Expected:
* installation succeds
* pidgin connects to jabber.ccc.de
Testing against pidgin is, I think, not necessary. The bug is, that the
installation fails. Workaround is installing java-6-openjdk-jre-headless
