Hi, Odd thing, Your scripts are using /proc/acpi/.... In my case there is no such a folder. Mine Ubuntu 12.04 has information about battery in different files at /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/.
I've found this topic. They are using the ACPI output. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=127387 I'm not a programer but here is mine script. Beware sometimes it has a problem after resuming from the standby. I do not know why :-(. ** Attachment added: "A little script for battery status" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-power/+bug/997758/+attachment/3637078/+files/battery.sh -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/997758 Title: gnome battery indicator missing in 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-power/+bug/997758/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
