I have the impression that this problem is more or less resolved under 13.04,
with no hardware change.
I've not even installed thinkfan. The fan seems fully on the whole time (bad),
but the temperature is much lower than before. Or so I believe. Is there a
standard/formal power/heat test that we can apply? It would allow comparisons
over time / settings but also across machines for those who have, e.g. T410s.
