I don't know if it is exactly the same issue, but today I couldn't work with Cinammon (1.6.7, Ubuntu 12.10, Kernel 3.5.0-27-generic). My system hangs badly, even without opening any program. I can move the mouse pointer but the click doesn't work. I can't swith to the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1..F6), kill the X server (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace) or anything.
I thought that it was a hardware issue, but then I switched to Unity and then to Gnome 3, and both works (I also tried Cinnamon 2D but it doesn't work). I think that it may be an CPU usage issue, but, I open a gnome-terminal and run "top", but it seems to hang with Cinnamon. I have Dropbox and Google Chrome (helper) in "autostart". How can I debug it? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1008197 Title: Cinnamon desktop freeze - no mouse actions, keyboard atl, ctrl, del works To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1008197/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
