I read something interesting; there seems to be a program name touchreset which
is part of the per-installed software from Dell. As known, there are or had
been also some problems with the touchscreen with Windows - changing the
priority or killing and restarting touchreset would often help to make the
touchscreen responding again.
Perhaps it would be possible to implement a reset-function into Linux which is
than executed very 30 seconds or so.

I'm still not very familiar with launchpad - I hope my postings will be
seen and can help to improve Ubuntu. The low activity here just makes me
thinking whether I better had reported it as a separate bug.
