I have the same problem. The wifi prompts me for password before I log
in. The prompt steals the focus and hangs several seconds during which I
can't type in my password and must wait.

I also have encryption set up but unlike Lucas, I use a luks container
for /home and /var that is mounted during the boot so it shouldn't
matter.

At first I thought the problem might come from the permissions on my
home folder. I set it to 0750 as I don't want other users to have access
to my documents (I tried "usermod -a -G lightdm my_user" but nothing
changed after a restart.)

I think it more likely comes from the fact that the secret key is stored
in seahorse and that means it is deciphered only when i log in. I don't
have this problem on my home computer where I have a very similar setup
(regarding encryption and permissions) but with an ethernet connection.

I'm running recent installs of Raring.
