As far as I can tell, all Lenovo 3000 C200 laptops are also affected by this bug. As reported on http://lenovo.dropshock.com/archives/fixing-sound/ upgrading to a newer alsa version fixes this issue. If I'm not mistaken this is the relevant alsa bug: https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=2725 (at least http://www.linlap.com/wiki/Lenovo+3000+C200 is pointing there)
