I think it's a different bug,
the problem is still here for me (quantal) even with file-roller
3.6.1.1-0ubuntu1.1
for me, file-roller always crash when trying to compress / uncompress / modify
archive over sftp (gvfs)
it's a big problem since it was working on Ubuntu 12.04
