The issue is that the service used to get the location id (woeid) has been discontinued some months ago.
There is a new one: http://developer.yahoo.com/geo/geoplanet/guide/api_docs.html#api_overview But the access is restricted by an appid key and the one from the old service is not valid, whoever is maintaining indicator-weather should register for a new one and port the code to the new api there... Is anyone wanting to work on that soon? Or should we get the source dropped from raring (no point to allow new installation if no location can be configured)... ** Changed in: indicator-weather (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Also affects: weather-indicator Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1162485 Title: It is impossible to add new location to the list To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/weather-indicator/+bug/1162485/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
