Could I suggest it would be better if psensor waited for a suitable event that is emitted by the start of the appindicator service, instead of waiting for a fixed duration? Perhaps you could listen on dbus or similar and wait for the event. And as a fallback case where the DE does not use appindicator, psensor could still use a fixed duration (but a little longer one).
