"there could be a fine line between "takes to long" and it is actually hanging."
That's what I was trying to explain in my case :^) I think I've been effected by "takes too long" rather than an actual hang. But "too long" is how long? I'm guessing anything over 1 minute is too long unless we display a "please wait" or "this may take a long time" message, but I also know we want to avoid pop-out type messages. Regardless the Quantal images work as expected but the Raring images have this "hang" or "delay". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to ubiquity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1080701 Title: After 'Preparing to install Ubuntu' screen, raring installation hangs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1080701/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
