I had to blacklist kernel module 'snd-hda-codec-hdmi' due to kernel BUG on boot somewhere in this module's code. Happened on two very different computers, both using nvidia proprietary driver (310- or 313-series). Started after upgrading to Ubuntu 13.04, first kernel used was 3.8.0-18 (now on 3.8.0-19). Booting fails miserably if the bug triggers.
