1) Please advise: what further information do you need? 2) Attached find an lsmod from the affected system.
) Maybe important: under Ubuntu 12.10, the WLAN on this system is often left in an inconsistent state after suspend or shutdown which results in the WLAN not authenticating thereafter. Hardware reset (hold down the power key until the splash screen shows and then the machine shuts off again) is 100% effective. 4) apport-collect is a titanic disaster. I determined the package dependencies on a separate machine, downloaded them, put them on a stick, and installed them on the affected machine. Then it had a half-dozen run-time dependencies. Installed those. Then it just spat out nonsense, and told me to do impossible things. Result: 1.5 hrs lost -- no error report. Will post separate reports. ** Attachment added: "lsmod from affected system" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1169755/+attachment/3649743/+files/UBUNTU-lsmod.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1169755 Title: WLAN won't stay connected in 13.04 Beta To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1169755/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
