Now, I have updated 2 desk top computers with Intel Core processors, 1 Quad, 1 Dual, with no ill effects on Docky. I am going to try a reinstall on my laptop this coming weekend. It could be some interaction with my particular installation. Could be interaction with the Toshiba chipset, although, I doubt it.
