Hi, I'm in Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit with a Toshiba Qosmio X770-11Z and the keyboard
backlight doesn't work either.
I tried almost all kernel from 3.2.0 until 3.8.8 and didn't solved the problem.
When I had ubuntu 12.04, I had the same error.
Also, toshset doesn't start, it says "required kernel toshiba support not
enabled." and when I patch the kernel to make it work, it says "This PC does
not have a Toshiba BIOS".
The only way to make it work for a few days is to have windows OS and hard
reset it, but I can't still manage the backlight, only in BIOS and, as I said,
after a few days, stopped working again.
Anything I can do to help?
