All right, I have installed the upstream kernel, and the bug is still
there. I sadly have to confirm that. :(
** Description changed:
I have been upgrading my Ubuntu since 10.04 (I think, I am really not
sure, since I am not a regular user, could've been since 9.10) hoping
that some of the issues of compatibility might be resolved for the
hardware I am working with.
The problem is:
Everytime I unplug the power cord, my ubuntu 12.10 just hangs and I have
to hard reset the laptop (hold the power button until it shuts down and
then power it on again with the power cord attached).
I'm not sure that I am submitting enough information and I am willing to
send whatever I need to give more context. I have been looking at the
forums and blogs trying to resolve this, but without any luck. I have
issues with the touchpad and the brightness too.
I really want to use Ubuntu regularly, but these issues won't let me
feel comfortable.
