Given the timing, I admit the release team is ultimately "do their job", and am mostly frustrated with my own team's efforts around this. The right approach is to leverage backports and get the package fixed and uploaded into 13.10 ASAP. We can then update websites/wikis/documentation to make sure our users know how to make sure they're using the supported version of juju.
